Minnesota!

I have decided to show everyone on BYC I am not crazy. My barnyard is a sordid place. It is like Peyton Place.

On the video below you will see a few minutes in “As the chicken turns”.

The star is, of course, the vixen of the coop, my little white rock. As the scene opens you will see her seductively bathing both in the nude and in the wide open. I am sure she does this to attract attention.

She does. First a modest BSL walks over and tells her to cover up and act decent. The white rock ignores her. Ole who considers himself to be every hens dream rooster notices the white rock and walks over to make his move on her.

The white rock decides to play hard to get, now. She is such a tease.

Then a Rainbow enters the stage from the left, her role is not apparent at first. Then we find out she is simply the “wingman” for a turkey gal. The turkey gal comes over and makes a play for Ole. We see her attempt to lock lips with Ole.

Ole is not into the larger gals and tries to avoid the advances from the turkey gal and walks away. Camera fades and we go to a commercial...

stay tune for next installment of “As the chicken turns”......

Well we've decided to take the plunge!!! Getting chickens =) We found a coop off craigslist still in it's box so we're getting it this weekend and setting it up. Now for the fun part, I've already mentioned this before but I really want certain breeds. I just think these ones are so beautiful, does anyone know someone locally that has these chicks? Russian Orloff, Dun Laced Wyandotte, Salmon Faverolle, Red Laced Wyandotte I did find someone who has Lavender Orpingtons so that's one off my list =)

Grats and good Luck..

I will have some mixed breeds for you on Good Friday if your interested..

we are about 15 miles apart.

That's ok we love this big guy as he is a big love bug. He does chores with me and I'd really miss him. Once we got him hens he settled down. I'm thinking he tried to breed the duck before he had hens and the drake started attacking him.

that's a beautiful turkey

Quote: Well IDK? I was just going to get a couple EE's and I went to Runnings yesterday to get some and they didn't have them yet so I had to go home empty handed. But while I was there I saw the adorable Silver Laced Wyandotte chicks so now I think I just want some kind of blue egg layer and a Wyandotte. I only want two chicks this year but I might bend a little.

*sigh*
Are Cream Legbars expensive? I don't know if anyone would have Cream Legbars around here though because we are kind of a chick 'dead zone'. (Sorry if I'm a little hard to follow)

Anyone here have or know someone who has peahen hatching eggs or chicks they would like to swap with? My neighbor really wants peacocks and he cuts and bales our little pasture for us so I would love to pay him back by getting him some peacocks! Here is what I have to swap:
Chickens:
Bresse, Sulmtaler, Swedish flower hen, Crested cream legbar
Duck:
Welsh, Muscovy
Let me know, thanks!
