Mixed breeds

Pics
The dad is a mix of possibly RIR and Barred Rock/black sex link. The mom is a mystery hen that I got which was all black with that comb that he has. He is built more like his mom which all I know is that she was part game bird.

Got some more pictures of some of my mixed breeds!

First two are of Cinder, my black copper marans x easter egger roo!

Next up us an unnamed little gal who is a mash-up of brown leghorn, ameraucana, and easter egger.

And lastly we have Hob, a white leghorn, easter egger roo with gorgeous metallic champagne lacing on his neck hackles. He's a sweetheart, too. :)

I currently don't have any mixes yet but I do have a serama rooster in with cochin bantam pullets and a d'uccle and OEGB. Hoping for a cross of one of those!
And I have a EE with a polish rooster and my EE just went broody. Should be interesting :)

They're Beautiful!

We have speckled Sussex/red sex links in the bator. they will be used for meat, anybody ever do this mix?
I have a roo that is half speckled sussex and half red star. He grew and developed fast but I don't think he has a lot of meat. At least I don't think he's any bigger than an ordinary speckled sussex. I can get a pic of him in a day or two. His body shape is just like his dad SS. His coloring looks just like a sex link.

We use our Sessexs for meat and eggs so figured we could do the same with the mixes. We don't need a lot of meat on them, just as much as the average sussex is fine. I'd love to see pictures of him. Do you know if it was a Sussex father and red star mother? Our eggs didn't hatch since we had issues with humidity so we set another batch to hatch. This time we included white leghorn/Speckled Sussex eggs to use for eggs.
