We use our Sessexs for meat and eggs so figured we could do the same with the mixes. We don't need a lot of meat on them, just as much as the average sussex is fine. I'd love to see pictures of him. Do you know if it was a Sussex father and red star mother? Our eggs didn't hatch since we had issues with humidity so we set another batch to hatch. This time we included white leghorn/Speckled Sussex eggs to use for eggs.

His name is Strut and his daddy was a Speckled Sussex. He looks and acts just like him except for the coloring of course.
