I've been for an early swim today and now my skin has a chill in it :D a good start to a very hot day!

For the hens, I've put the hose in their coolest spot and turned it on to a tiny trickle ahich I hope will give them some relief. They can come into the back porch if they'd like a cool breeze from the aircon. And I'll ice their water throughout the day. These seem like nicer options than cooping them under the mist.
I find it is always good to give them choices. Good thinking.

Two poops were dropped but thoughtfully on the floorboards and not on carpet or rugs.

That's very special! Did you enjoy reading it?
I haven't had a good browse through it in quite some time but I remember the Trenches humour. I'll have to leaf through it again.

I remember borrowing a similar book from the library when I was in High School. It had contributions from several of the Allied forces. I wish I could remember what it was called. 😔
