MJ's little flock

Thank you,. Where is @WhoDatChick to defend the EE too!
Oh dear...:( .... I'm not having potshots @ EEs. Really I'm not. I am however very curious about what seems to be wildly divergent personalities.

I do look @ breed standards for personality. Mostly I've found them to be pretty accurate for out here & as ACM has just said, her EEs follow the breed personality. Even given individual personalities it seems a little strange to me that some birds are so very different. I see the same thing with Wyandottes. All mine have been lovely but reading around a lot of people seem to have got very difficult, dominant birds & I have never seen that with mine.

Being a total newbie when I chose my chickens, I did some research to determine which breeds are more likely to be docile, friendly together, and more laid back. I did pretty good, and my girls get on pretty well. Maybe I just got lucky.

I’ve got a bit of head scratcher here with Bok. She is going bald around her comb, started a while ago and I think we just got used to seeing her that way. Have checked many times for mites and lice around her vent etc but have come up empty handed (I do get a very indignant look from the feathered lady though when I put her back down 😅)
What else besides a parasite could cause this? She’s not bald in any other spots, is otherwise healthy as far as I can tell.
