Modified hoop coop idea, been done?

@Smuvers Farm just created a hoop coop using cattle panels. She has a discussion with lots of photos. Have you seen it yet?

I have yes! I think they are great, many advantages. Of course I'm hoping to use the design a little bit differently as I have the one barn wall to incorporate.

someone did this.. they put a 2x4 on the barn wall at the height that worked... made a base.. stuck one end of the cp under the wall 2x4 and put the other end in the base... I am looking for that build...

Why not use the barn wall as one end?

That's what I'm thinking, using the barn wall as one long side. The existing run that is actually a roofed structure would be an end. But I'm not sure how the panels will behave in a half hoop shape.

For that matter, could I run the panels straight up say 6 feet with simple posts securing, then bend nearly 90 degrees into a slightly sloped roof up to the barn wall. This would make a 10 foot not arched roof section supported at each end of each panel. Not sure how that would handle snow load.

well it's not in large coop articles.. I did a seach for cattle panels and before my computer died I found something similar w/- much info . I think I got to page 17 in the seach
