Modified hoop coop idea, been done?

I have yes! I think they are great, many advantages. Of course I'm hoping to use the design a little bit differently as I have the one barn wall to incorporate.

That's what I'm thinking, using the barn wall as one long side. The existing run that is actually a roofed structure would be an end. But I'm not sure how the panels will behave in a half hoop shape.
 
For that matter, could I run the panels straight up say 6 feet with simple posts securing, then bend nearly 90 degrees into a slightly sloped roof up to the barn wall. This would make a 10 foot not arched roof section supported at each end of each panel. Not sure how that would handle snow load.
