More than one roost?

I am looking at one 6 ft long roost bar for 6 hens, or

does anyone think three - 2ft roosts front to back (like sittiing on the bus) would be better?

What about 2 three ft roosts? That is what we are going to put in our coop for the 6 girls. If you have the room for 3 I'd say go for it.

If you have the room, the longer the better. The birds will hop on and then bunch. One 6-footer will be more efficient the three 2-footers.

One key is to keep as much footage at the same height as possible. Otherwise the birds would fight for the highest location.

I have 3-footers due to dimension of the coop. There is one lower roost for hopping up to the higher roost, but some of my (heavier) birds do not like to exert and are happy on the lower roost.
