I have two little fluffy-butts in my brooder at the moment. The two-week old is VERY insistent when the food bowl is empty. As soon as the fussing starts, my son jumps to fill whatever is empty. Once the bowl is full, both peeps jump in to scrape & gobble ... which usually overturns the bowl ... and starts the chorus again. He SWEARS they do it on purpose!

What have you done with all the money you saved??

Money saved! That’s funny. Between all the animals that were left at this place before I moved in saving would be an incredible thing. The horse,the cow,the three adult miniature pigs plus mine,plus the 12 babies that the females miniature pigs had a day apart and the extra chickens my two dogs,two cats,the three barn kittens I found cleaned up and rehomed and my rabbit and four children I’m swamped. Maybe when these baby pigs are socialized and ready to make good pets I can stock pile some money but even then that money is going to take care of the rest of the animals until I can find them homes. It’s hard to find people who are willing to take care of people shy miniature pigs. They all want the ones that they see in videos that are potty trained and do back flips. It bothers me the way these animals were managed or lack there of before they were under my care.

Don’t get me wrong they have feeders they just get dumped or it ends up all over they place. If they want to scratch it all around I’m okay with it. Probably the the highlight of their day.

Sounds like my place , we spend more at the feed store then all our bills combined , I wouldn’t change a thing , but some days ........I thought of you today as I dumped my girls fermented feed in an old pie plate .. so fancy !!

I would love to be at the point where I can build my chickens fancy feeders but it’s just not in the cards right now lol. All the animals are getting stock feeders and their health taken care of at the moment. They seem to be happy with it.

I was almost sick when I saw our dexter breeder used bath tubs for water..... we’re not there , but we bought big blue barrels and cut them in half , they work great . I guess we all do our best to make everyone happy , but I’ll tell you what when I got my new kitchen last year I didn’t get the best , I got everything I needed though , and I love it!! Moderation is the key
