My daughter's chicks are likely stuck in Philly on the plane!
She was expecting replacements from MM after she lost over half her shipment from last Monday due to cold ( we think). She had really babied them trying to bring them around.
I stopped in this AM at the post office and they said they are usually called when chicks are coming and they hadn 't been notified and it was likely the chicks were stuck in Philly-- two hours by truck

Local PO doesn't expect them today anymore.
Any advice for when they eventually DO arrive?

that "lady" at the post office sounds like one of those people who just cannot help themselves from kicking someone while they are down.. she already knew you were snowbound and just wanted to add to your frustration.. and her comment about not wanting to call a carrier in without checking it out was unwarranted..

aye some day you can find her drowning in a lake, and you can throw her a large stone to help her out..

You know it was real icy last year here and the mailperson did not deliver mail. I wouldn't have either don't get me wrong, but I thought that was there motto, too?

now, go buy you a 4x4, even if it's a junker. And you'll not be snowed in again.

My motto is "everyone should own atleast 1 4x4."

Glad to hear they're home and safe. I just got in from my route and it wasn't a day to have babies in the car. Even if they could have made it to your house the car is really cold and drafty for the little ones. Just think of riding 65 miles in 22 degree weather with the window down. Trust me it was better they got left at the PO.

We had some come in to the PO today. The person they belonged to was snowed in too. We watered them and put them in the bathroom where it was warm. Luckily the owner had made it to the PO when I got back. If not I would have taken them to him.
