My first BYC rant!

I havent read the entire 5 pages, but my DH has the same thing, NO DISC at that same point. He's had surgery when a disc sort of "exploded", years and years ago, but the degeneration has continued over the years. I AM that wife who had to drag her husband to the bed or to the emergency room. My heart goes out to, buddy.

I'm so sorry to hear about your back condition. I had my DH read it because it sounded exactly like the story he tells about when it happened to him - 10 years ago, just before we met. I think the story was that he had been laying sod in his new front yard and then went to play golf and made it home and then that's all she wrote. They had to have an ambulance come get him. Couple of weeks in hospital totally drugged to help alleviate the pain. Today, 10 years later, he still suffers with horrible back pain - some times worse than others.

wow that is quite a first rant.. so sorry to hear your in that much pain..

Thanks for all of the prayers and positive thoughts coming to AZ.

DW took me down to the office to finish out closing out 2008 for the year.

I cam home, took a Vicodin 7.5, half a percocet and 5mg Valium.

I'm out of pain and resting comfortably at present, IF I don't move.

Called my chairside and warned her that she and the receptionist will most likely be rescheduling patients tomorrow. I have a Root canal and a crown prep on another patient, (plus about 10 other patients... some from eastern New Mexico who came into town to visit family and to see me) but I wouldn't want me working on me so I guess that's the story...

but, I'm still exercising faith and perhaps with all of your prayers, I'll feel wonderful tomorrow.

The kids have really stepped up and are cleaning house... they got all of the Christmas lights down, tree boxed up, the house is almost back to normal... if I could keep all of the neighbor kids away for awhile it would be wonderful.

The in-laws are still here and are so wonderful. DW is sewing her mom a new suit. My wife is a master seamstress and sure knows how to make beautiful clothes. I can believe how quickly she put it together and how wonderful it looks on my MIL.

#14 took out a hot towel and put it over Neckie's eggs while he let her off of the nest and let her poop. I'm praying we get at least 2 chicks out of those 6 eggs but I'll understand if we get none... then I'll just go buy some chicks at the feed store.

I wish that Melissa (pasofinofarm) could ship chicks she has some of the most beautiful birds I've ever seen... all of them... the Cuckoo Marans, the Faverolles and the Ameraucanas.

Tomorrow my 18 year old and FIL are going to get the Town car going... battery is dead.

I've also got to have them (my boys) till up the garden because I want things planted by the 10th.

Weather here was beautiful today... got up to 75 with lots of blue sky and sunshine.

Well I'm getting sleepy... we'll see how much longer I last.

Again, thanks y'all.

OH Man!!! I'm so sorry to hear this. Please take it easy, I know how much pain this is. My father has been in terrible lower back pain that affects his right leg for a week now. We got him in to see the Dr. on Dec. 23 but needed to be referred to a specialist and can't get in untill Monday. They say there is a pinched and swollen nerve. Yesterday he forced himself to get up and walk around the yard and loosened up what ever was pinched and he is feeling better but still really stiff.

Good thing you have lots of family around to help out with chores. Rest well....
