is chicken wire safe to put over pallets or mice, rats, weasles, etc. could get in the coop?

I use 1 inch poultry wire over chain link kennel panels for the most part. We do have a 1/2 inch hardware cloth apron all the way around the whole compound... no it does not keep mice out. So far we have not had a predator death inside the compound.

New Nn in this weeks hatch

ok not my best pics but 3 white Nn 3 black Nn and a partridge mixed in with some full feathered Ee, black copper marans, mosaics, and some full feathered white and black.

Necked necks are addictive once you get past the bald neck.... ok so most of my layers may start being nn over the next year.... I have discovered that folks in my area are less fond of Nn. Whitch is good for me cuz If I am not careful folks talk me out of my younger layers
