Hi so I posted about Ruby's situation you can read here but I'll try to summarize
Essentially Ruby was attacked by a fox and survived, but has been off since. She also had a crop impact and I performed surgery. I'm not concerned about that, surgery went well and it looks good.
My concern is she obviously has more wrong. I thought maybe she was acting off due to the crop impact but obviously not. She can't seem to stretch her neck out at all, and so she can't eat on her own. I've been force feeding her and syringing her liquids for over a week now.
I don't think my local vet does poultry and not really wanting to or can afford to pay loads. I do love her believe me I'm trying my best. Is there anything more I can do? I have to take my dog to the vet tomorrow for something else that happened.. ugh.. so I'm going to ask if they can euthanize chickens. I have to think about her quality of life and if she doesn't get better and can't eat or drink on her own in the next couple of weeks I'm going to do so I think. It's called the last act of kindness for a reason I think.
