He looks great! It's as big as my last hatchling and it's 6 days old!

Yes, very good to clean food off face and chest as it hardens and sticks. Not really dangerous but unappealing. lol

@LauraMunro - I guess you don't plan to put a permanent seamless band on him? If you keep him as a pet you can find a clip-on ID band later.
