Neighbor threatening me and another neighbor about chickens

Ditto. Complain to the cops/animal control about the threat and let her know that if her dog comes on your place you will kill it or take it to the pound. I wish there was a way to forge peace and happiness but if she actually threatened the lives of your flock...

Same here. We lived out here in the boonies for 10 years before we ever got a neighbor that we could see. Sure didn't make me happy when several moved in close to us.

I wonder which way the prevailing wind blows? Mebe you should suggest to her that you were also planning on adding hogs to your "farm." Would she rather smell the hog stuff or hear a rooster crowing? If you've ever raised hogs you'll take the rooster anytime!

I am echoing what others have already said; document every conversation you have with your neighbor, post 'no trespassing' signs on your property line and I wouldn't give her anything, with that type of person she would try and claim you are trying to poison her. Know your laws and rights for your area.

We moved out into the county but still live close to neighbors, so far no problems, we talked to the sheriff and he said we should feel free to have a rooster in our yard, I brushed up on my laws to make sure I wont step on toes but since we know the neighbor close to us has a chronic illness we don't feel right having a roo crowing all hrs of the day/night

But her threatening to send her dog over to kill your animal, that needs to be reported to the police asap and then after that keep a journal

Good luck and hopefully she is nothing but a crabcake and spouting idle threats.

We have one of those neighbors. Moved from teh city, but kept the city attitude.

It came to a very violent confrontation and I can not post here what transpired, however they will not even look our way much less appraoch us in any manner beyond civil and with humility. It is a shame it came to what it did.

I also had issue with roaming dogs. Some are gone forever but calling the AC was well worth it. The people got so mad at paying fines that they finally took control of their dogs.

Yes. Agreed. My friend has a new neighbor who moved in and now wants the horse training equipment removed from my friend's property. Huh? She has trained horses there for years but now the mass influx of people into her neighborhood don't seem to understand anything about animals. I guess they just want the space to live but have never had animals? Dunno. Very confusing.

Well, hopefully she won't cause any trouble with the hens. My other neighbor that just got chickens and I thought it would be really funny if we ended up with a hen that crowed. I would never give up that hen either if it happened.
