Nevadans?

OK, looks like lunch is the clear winner. Could we do 11am, as Missy suggested, to avoid the lunch crowd and to get folks back to the show for judging?

Every time I've been to Carrows, they said they serve it every day.
Huh. I asked about it and they said they didn't have it that day. I guess they were just out of it. I tell ya I have the hardest time finding good broccoli soup! I sure hope they aren't out again. Maybe I should call ahead and warn them I'm coming and I expect broccoli soup! hahaha

You can tell them that they'll sell at least 4 bowls if it's gluten free!

Speaking of gluten free... I am making my homemade teriyaki chicken right now for a "Slow Cooker Challenge" at Steve's work tomorrow. The teriyaki sauce is simmering now and I'll sear the chicken to add to the sauce in a bit. I use ginger, garlic, orange zest and juice, pineapple, honey and gluten-free soy sauce to make my teriyaki sauce. I also added a bit of maple syrup. So good!

Mmmmmm that sounds really good. We do a lot of stir frys, especially during vegetable season, and I whip up teriyaki with Bragg's Liquid Aminos. The kids are insane for teriyaki.

Yesterday, we started off the day watching Food Network reruns on Hulu. Last night Sahara made "African Burgers" from a spotlight of a Soul Food restaurant, altering it just a little to be gluten free. Tonight, Joe is doing gluten-free blueberry ricotta crepes.

Oh I used to make these a lot! The kids adore crepes with just about anything in them. Well I never tried the gluten free crepes. OK what are African burgers? I'm trying to picture it but all that's coming to mind is different kinds of meat. And I just sampled the teriyaki chicken. OMG! I added a bit of pear juice cause the soy sauce was still leaving it too salty. Now it's fantastic. I hope Steve gets home soon so we can eat.

Just looked up Bragg's Liquid Aminos. Very interesting. Does it taste just like regular soy sauce? By regular I mean like Chun King (La Choy). I don't like the kinds that taste like wine. My immature palate and all.
