new chickens!

recently I bought 4 new hens at a poultry swap for only $10 a piece! One is a sumatra, one is a blue laced red wyandotte and the other 2 are golden laced wyandottes. The wyandottes are all 12 weeks old. The sumatra, I'm uncertain about. Anyway, I was finally able to combine these new 4 birds with my two pullets who are 14 years old. They got along great right away!

whoops! years, weeks, I get the two mixed up when it comes to chickens. It seems like it's been years and no eggs yet!

Good looking birds. In another month or two I would start looking for those eggs. My fall birds tend to begin laying than my springs birds. But the wait is worth it.
