Welcome to Backyard Chickens!:frow Glad you joined the flock! BYC is a very helpful and informative site about poultry! Texas is super hot so I'd open up your vent more so air can circulate in your coop.
Thanks for the reminder. Yes, I almost forgot about the vent today. I had to close it off a little during the rain a few days ago. Of course, the rain started shortly after replacing the plexiglass windows with wire mesh. This Texas weather!!

A message from central headquarters, reads as follows: Good Morning 007. Your mission today 1. set out the feed and new water for the animals.
2. trim that big tree in back.
3. clean the coop and change the top bedding in the barn.
4.Contact city council for the needs of the BBQ set for today.
Get moving 007 Good luck!

1. Feeding and watering done twice a day!
2. The biggish trees in back are "dead", oak wilt. Same for the one in front. Need to cut them down, not trim!
3. Don't have to clean my coops, no barn so no "top bedding".
4. Live in county not city, so only ones to contact would be TCEQ!
Sorry "failed" your mission! :lau:gig:lau
