A friend has given me a broody hen and fertilized eggs. I have placed the chook in her own little house in her nest, which she has sat for 3 days. I found her off the nest yesterday with the eggs cold. I placed her back on them last night and she has not moved. Are the eggs still OK, or did they get damaged when she jumped off.

You're probably okay. It's natural for a broody to get off the nest each day to eat and drink and poop, and she can be off the eggs for up to a half hour at a time with no ill effects. In fact, some people like to replicate this while incubating and they'll let their eggs cool off for a time each day just like the hen would.
