not laying

i fed my chickens rice for a week and have them on pellets now
they havent layed in about a week and a half i am, worried

Did you give them any protein during that rice week?

i dunno about rice, but whenever i feed my chickens anything unregular (anything but there chicken feed) it seems to effect there laying, weird eh?
i suppose they need regulation.... was rice regular then?
