Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

Do the French cuckoo's not even out like most chickens? And thank you! Appreciate it!
Wing sexing only works on newly hatched chicks and only if the parents were selected for this. Amberlinks are wing sexed and someone shared video of the hatchery doing this. Now, people think that means they can apply the same technique to all chicks. That's not how it works. It's like assuming all red chicks are female and all white chicks are male because that is true of red sexlinks.

That front bird looks like a black sex-link... or black star... if it is it would be a pullet. They start getting combs very early, and are large. However, I'm not an expert.
At first glance, it does. But the red is a tad bright compared to a sexlink so zoom in on the mid wing and you'll see dark red coming in there. That's typical of a young cockerel of this color.

Thank you! I was really hoping this one was a girl :( I'm up to my limit of Roos and have to give some away now :(
Man, that's the worst part about owning chickens :( Hate having to rehome good roos. . . Sorry! Hope you find somewhere to make him happy~

Okay, I'm fairly certain what I have here, but I'm really hoping I'm not right. We bought 4 chicks total, 2 Welsummers and 2 Cuckoo Marans back in late April. I'm thinking one of each breed ended up being a roo. These are my two suspects. Can anyone confirm for me? Thanks!
