I gave up on having favorites...
Keep looking. They can get scared and sort of freeze up.

X2. I had a hen hide under the deck until I sent a child under after her. She was in shock and not responding to anything.

First one is probably a cockerel, but not sure.
2,3,4 are cockerels
5, 6 are pullets

The only females are the last two, #5 & #6.

Hi so the last time I posted my chicken cks were 4 weeks. Turns out I had two cockerals. These are my two left which I'm really hoping are hens.
Help please sexing them they are now 8 weeks old thankyou

I am a new chick mom from MI. We have 12 chicks in all in a variety of breeds.

I have 2 Buff Polish chickens that are about 3 weeks old. I noticed a difference in their general appearance and wonder if one is a rooster. One has a puffy fuzzy feathers on its head bump which make it look like it is wearing a fuzzy cap and has short tail feathers. The other one has spikey feathers on its head bump and longer tail feathers. The one with the spikey top is getting more spikey and tail feathers are getting longer. They look like they are the same type just distinct features that have me wondering. Either way we will keep them both

These ameracauna chicks were born 4/20 and I purchased them all under the impression they were female but my grey one is so much larger than the other 5. Is this a chicken or rooster?
