I called about getting the 4 roosters processed, will cost $30. Yep, going to find an Amish guy to do it or give them away and buy store bought roasters for cheaper.

Dang 4 birds will cost me a $5.00 bill at the amish. DW said the ladies did it and they did it fast. One did get away but after it had it's head off already so not that big a deal lol.

Has anyone else noticed some of the absolutely horrible ads that flash up on BYC? This is supposed to be a family friendly site -- and yet there are large photo's of provocatively posed, barely dressed Asian women in come-hither crouches with parts popping out under a "Chinese Love" ad? The pics are vulgar enough, basically soft porn, that I wouldn't want my 12-year old on this site now.

The only ads I see are the chicken related ones, such as the ads for Nutrena and such. I use google chrome. Not sure if we have an ad blocker but I'm assuming maybe we do since I do not see any ads like that on any site I visit.

Yes, I have seen a ton of them. One of the reasons I recently upgraded to GF, they were getting really annoying and popping up when you mouse over them. There's a post going in the forum feedback section of the forum where you're supposed to report them because according to the mods they're not supposed to do that, but I dunno.

Personally I'm annoyed by a certain user on here who pops up all the time is remarkably rude for no reason. They're the main reason I stopped posting a lot of times outside this thread. Once I even saw them comment on a post where someone asked if their pet bird, who they never had any intention of showing anyway, might have been good for showing if they did that kind of thing, just out of curiosity, and this user popped in and for no reason said along the lines of 'good for the pot maybe.' About someone's pet. That they were never going to show anyway. And they're a senior member. I also once stood up on behalf of a person they had attacked along with a few others and was chased right out of that thread and I refuse to go back. But I can't really report them because technically, they're breaking no rules, he's just being rude and hurtful and unpleasant.

I've seen this a lot around here, unpleasant users that don't really break any rules so you can't report them but they're still just kicking around making the forum an unpleasant place. None in here though, thank goodness.

But anyway, that's just my annoyed rant for the evening because that specific user was out bothering me again today even though I've blocked them.

To lighten things up, have a silkie pile (rancher look away now )

I haven't been on in a while but I need help. Does anyone know how to lessen skunk smell. I just had one in my run that my roo cornered. I got it out then it went to the dog, now I don't have to worry about the skunk but how do I lessen the smell? IT IS MAKING ME SICK!!!! ANY AND ALL HELP IS WELCOMED!!!!!! It got me and the dog before SSS. 

I'm late to respond but when it happened to my dogs I used a brand of stuff carried at Walmart. It worked well but took several washes. I didn't have luck with tomato juice either, but I like the idea of vinegar and dawn better

I've felt the same way about some threads. You post a question or ask for some advise and some pompous snot talks down to you like you're an idiot. I've seen it often and this is why I'm always hesitant to post on another thread and would rather post it here first.

Hi all.

Thanks for the feedback on the pop ups / ads. I ignore most of them and they don't really bother me -- it's just that this particular one is downright disgusting. Not sure how to report it, but I guess I should do so.

I am a technology buffoon, so I'm also not sure how to change my browser setting to bypass pop ups and such. I will talk to the hubby. He might be able to help.
