Speaking of my new Polish hen, I believe she has a prolapsed (?) vent :-( What can I do to fix this???

push it back in ...put preparation H on it & honey ..Dont give her layer ..for a couple of days ...Grass , chick food if you have it ...keep her quiet ...separated from the others

I tried but that didn't help much. I read that you're supposed to put them in a dark area to help keep them from laying. So I put her in the brooder box on the side of the shed, that won't get much light in it. She laid an egg when we arrived home Saturday but not yesterday so that's good at least. I'm running out today so I'll try to get some of that preparation h while I'm out.
