5 out of 6 have hatched so far. I have attached what they apparently are. Last egg is a nice olive so I hope that hatches. They will be going under my broody hen tonight, shes a very reliable mum

These chicks are so unique looking. Will be interesting to see what they look like when they feather in.

@3KillerBs, I know there is probably plenty of variation in different strains of Australorps, but how quickly do yours get tail feathers and is that a reliable indicator of gender?

I have not noticed any connection between tail feathers and sex, but I don't really pay attention to the feathering speed.

I rely on the comb appearance at 3-4 weeks and the saddle feathers between 10-14 weeks.

Welp candling results for the last 5 Cochin babies all amazin! They looked really good!
Need yall to help cheer on the lil LAVENDER/Black to be healthy and LAVENDER!!!
Candling results for the 20 Silkie babies...4 BR and 5 clear. 1 questionable but I left it in with the remaining 10 good forming babies! I am gonna get some BUFFS!!! Super excited!!!
