Pics
Im pretty sure my hatch is over.
15 chicks out of 17 that went into lock down have hatched.
One pipped and died and the other egg hasnt internally pipped, didnt see any movement but ill leave that one a little longer. I have one chick still in the incubator that needed help out of the egg, it pipped and got rolled around onto other eggs which stuck around the pip area. Its out of the egg now and walking around but dragging around its dry cord? attached to some egg. Will it eventually fall off?

Five have hatched, two still to hatch, sadly one pipped then stopped breathing.

So, I see that you specialize in blue ana ALL black marans. I got 3 "Blck Marans" from a guy who didnt know much about chicken breeds. SO, is an all black maran an actual breed?

24 hours into lock down... no pips, everything is normal and boring. Just posting to keep me from tinkering.

So you're addicted huh? :gig

It's ok to snip it at the egg end. I would be more concerned about it dragging the shell around.
