I think that people get the burn flavor with any coffee shop because they are not getting a fresh drip. Fresh drip is the best way to drink a coffee in my opinion. I think the best coffeemy husband has ever had was cold brew, but it definitely will knock a person on their butt if they're not used to it.

And with cold brew it has to be done correctly usually it takes a long time up to 12 hours to get the perfect extraction.

I used to drink a lot of coffee, but I drink dunkin' donuts ice extra extra. I haven't had one for years, sometimes ill get an ice decaf extra extra but it's rare. I'm someone who drinks water all day every day and I don't need anything else.

I know this is off subject but I like Gevalia Kaffe, fresh brewed and not a ton of grounds in the filter. Excellent coffee..

Gevalia Kaffe Special Reserve is one that we usually get during the winter time. Fine ground and good for drip systems.

I agree with everyone on the burned taste, it should not have a burned taste. Coffee does have a flavor, not when it tastes burned it permeates it to the point that that is all you taste. IMHO.

I just had my husband try caramel coffee by dunkins and he was obsessed with it. I think it depends on how you make your coffee on the taste. If you are using a coffee pot or anything that has a burner on the bottom or a warmer on the bottom, it's going to burn the coffee. If you use a drip system or a French press, you are only using boiling hot water therefore the coffee does not get the burnt taste.

Most coffee shops don't do the drip system unless you ask them and most of their coffee sits on burners all day long.

Yeah and they use a ton of grounds in the pot which makes it super strong from the beginning..
