I've owned chickens on & off over the past 30 years and have never heard about this. My chickens look normal and are still laying eggs daily. I'll post some if anything changes.
Maybe it's where I live. Gosh, if I saw my chickens looking like this, I'd call the vet... lol

I'm so new I put some type of "rooter pecking" medicine on my hens. I thought they were trying to hurt each other. Guess they will have to tolerate their human trying to help.

darn! one of mine just went through a moult, and I didn't know they could lose so many feathers!! She looked like she was a porcupine on chemotherapy. But, alas, she is filling out again, and starting to look quite pretty~

My rooster, Maurice, looks the strangest. This year he's lost all of his tail feathers (and I think, his manliness). The girls are definitely ignoring him right now.

Maurice has lost all of his tail feathers, and I think, his dignity.
