I get mine from a place called rhineharts because its cheaper then tsc i usually either get layers lunch or gobblers grub Ive tried the mashes and all of them where just ground corn and the scratch was just wheat and corn.

To those who use dumor feed. Pay close attention to the layer and keep an eye out for green specks on the pellets ( mold)
Usually on the ends where its snapped

I’ve been buying dumor since my hens were babies.Now they are 13 mos old. I never inspected the food but will from now on. Reading some of these posts makes me think I am not feeding the best food.( dumor layer) nutrena is mentioned several times..would that be better? TS or Rural king are the only places near me who sell chicken food. I could check out chewy but would like some suggestions re a better food for my girls. Thanks!

I use purina (main brand to dumor) because it has high percentages on some of the other additives. I like the layer game feed for my bantams. A little extra protein gives them the weight they need and shiny feathers. I have never had a issue with dumor when I used it. .

I buy Dumor at TSC. I noticed that my hen's poop doesn't smell nearly as bad and the feed is a great price.

Did you know that the TSC brand "Producers Pride" is packaged for TSC by Dumor mills!!! Just like the store brands at Wal-Mart, Great Value. Look at the product shelving of the product you want. Which ever brand has the most shelf space is who packages the Great Value brand for Wal-Mart. Your not paying for a lesser brand in either case.

Thats strange because I have noticed with the TSC brand and Dumor, the poop attracts a TON more flies and they seen to want to eat a lot more of the food, where as the other brands, purina, and some of the higher end organic brands, no fly problem and they eat less of it, and the quality of their eggs, poop, overall health is pretty much the same if not better.

Im all for saving a buck, and why pay 20 dollars for the name 'Purina' when you can get stuff thats just as good and healthy for 14 dollars by an off brand, but my experiences with the Dumor have not been so much better.

I tried Dumor starter feed once, but this was a couple years back. The feed was teeny tiny and easily eaten by the chicks but they always had runny/creamy looking poops so I switched back to Tucker Milling.

We were purchasing our feed from TSC however I just found a local feed store that has bigger bags for cheaper. I'll be purchasing it from the local store in the future. The local place is cheaper and closer to me.
