OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I cant wait to start getting eggs again from pullets I've grown, only have 3 bantam polish that lay, usually only get up to one egg a day.
My favorite brahma pullet is getting close to lay, her pelvic bones are about 2.5 fingers wide, and her comb is really red, so its just a matter of time.
Do you know how old she is? Mine are almost 4 months old and look much smaller than yours. This is my 1st go around with brahmas. They are cantankerous! Always the 1st to break out of the pen.

Thanks! Maybe another month or 2 I'll be getting eggs from them too!

Hey fellow Ohians! I hope I'm not intruding by sharing this here, but my Sebright hen just hatched a clutch of chicks somehow without asking me first, and I have some chicks that I'm trying to rehome before school starts in August. I've posted about them on the Animals in Need of Free Rehoming section, but I thought I'd check in here too. Here's the ad: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1006798/ohio-seeking-homes-for-surprise-mixed-bantam-chicks

These are SebrightxOEGB chicks and I have a lot of fun with the older siblings I was given years ago, but I don't have capacity for 11 more. I'm located in North Central Ohio and I can arrange to deliver them to Cleveland or Columbus or surrounding areas.

Also, are there going to be any swaps that I could look into taking them to? I know biosecurity is tight around here this year.

Thanks! I apologize if this was an inappropriate topic for this thread.

Never had bantams, I live in Akron/Canton area - I got room and I might be interested if a friend of mine will split them with me.

So just found out through one of my son's schoolmate's mom who was at his birthday party this afternoon that Berea passed new poultry ordinances at the beginning of March that took effect in mid April. There was an article on Cleveland.com in February about revisions and are minutes from a meeting in October. Wish I had know about all this but the good news is we are completely in compliance with our coop, run, number of poultry and sanitary conditions. But its another good reason to move, because of course I need more chickens!

Ordinances:

Well the birds are not yet in the new coop. Electric work to be done in the next few days. My husband suggested a ceiling fan! I am in shock, I asked him if he meant that. Yes Honey, see if you can find one to fit so your big fluffy birds are happy. Soo, I am off to search for said object. cross your fingers! We did get the two pens completely fenced in and the doors are on both. He is going to work on the chicken doors to the run while I find the parts to get it wired and look for nesting boxes or make our own.
