***OKIES in the BYC III ***

NanaKat,
I got some Ivamectin (sp) today. What dosage do you use on chickens, LF and bantam, and how do you apply it?

Quote: I don't have the eggs, they are owed to me on a swap, was just going to have her send them to you. I wouldn't put shipped eggs under a broody, they require special care

That is a beautiful iris, is that gladiolus in the next pic???? I have planted some glad bulbs that were mixed colors this spring hope to get some pics of them this year.
The flowers in that picture are Yankee Doodle Larkspur. They are purple, pink, white and blue and the self sow and return from seed every year.

Quote: I use a syringe without a needle on it so I can measure the dose. bantams get 1/4 cc and LF get 1/2 cc. I nestle it thru the feathers against their skin at the base of the back of their neck. Someone else puts it under the wing. To me it's easier to hold them in my left hand and then apply the Ivermectin.

What is the invectamin used for? Mites or something?

Thank You!

I got to catch and hold Jack's big Blue Ameraucana rooster one day last week. He is huge and his beard is long and as soft as a rabbit. He had no mites and is shiny clean. He didn't like being held though, cried like a baby being pinched.
