Morning everyone,

I want to thank all of those who have PM me in response to our listing of the fowl and poultry we have now for sale..

I can look at the bright side and know our down size is only temporary until we get our property up to how we wanna set it up, and know that we will be doing better in the long run if we do the down sizing now instead of later. Once its all done we can get more chickens.. and fowl.. MUWHAAAA

I dont think I will be on much today we have sick baby in the house who has been under the weather for a few days now..

Glad your downsizing program is going well, Jeannie - sorry about the baby - hope she feels better soon! You and Jason are smart to take an objective look at your property and figure out how best to use it for your purposes. Your animal acquisition program will start up again before you know it!

Thanks sisters!

I know this is what is to happen even though I will miss each of them that will be placed in their new prospective homes... at first Aleisha was very upset along with Austin and the other one in our care but when I explained(even though I dont have to) I was posting it first to the BYC Okies folks first before Craigslist.. they were relieved... they really didnt want the animals going to strangers they didnt know...

Anyhow... I need to send a SHOUT OUT to one of the Special kids in our care... Turning 4 years old today!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!

Good morning everyone. I must admit I woke up read your posts this morning and I was very very upset at alot of them

rain you saytat stuff that has been so forgein in these parts? for months now we havent had any even when all of you have wrote about rain, we still fail to see it. Can't work the grounds cant build the terraces. looks like another year of late wheat production. All the ponds are drying up here.
Its as if everystorm we get see's Okarche and just disapates or goes around us. Kingfisher got like 1 inch of rain a week or so ago and we didn't get but a small 2 min drizzle. Sigh.... Glad you all got rain it was definatly much needed.

Al were still praying for stimpy on this side of the map I don't know them nor had the opportunity to meet them yet. But Some of the post I read He sounds like a wonderful guy.

Yay Queen and hotdog glad he had a good first day at school.

Buckeye I am also guilty of having a pet. When I started this I had the good ol stern face. (there just birds no need to get attached.) Well thats definatly not the case now. Infact I love my birds and I mean that kind of love that guides me each and everyday, to nurture and protect them. Call me crazy but sometimes I wake up late at night and go out to the baby coop and play them some music and sing to them while giving them later night snacks and petting them till they coo at me. DARNING ENABLERS.

shavon good to see you back hope everything is going better in yor life and sleep comes easier at the least.

I hope everyone is doing as good as expected. You all are in my thoughts and prayers it feels good to have friends out there finally. at least someone to talk to who understands me and my chicken addiction. Hope you all have a blessed day. Matthew

MMPoultry - we're glad you're here, too. Thanks for your prayers for Stimpy even though you don't know him. Just to give you an idea of his personality, I looked up an old post and here is Stimpy's latest signature line.

I use the pet term loosely. I don't coddle her or really mess with her much but if I want to catch her I can just reach down and pick her up. She was probably a show bird at one time. MD gave her to me last summer at Blanchard. I hadn't planned on keeping her.
She paired up with another MD gift, a barred rooster that he gave my son and now she has five babies. Four barred and one white. I guess Inow I am working on a line of barred cornish rocks.

Take a shower, what else?

I wish I had some of your homemade soap.

Actually I said when it let up I was going back out. I have been working around the chicken pens, doing stuff I didn't do when it was so hot.

As for another rooster, I just figure she might want a new boyfriend. I also have many other roosters I need to rehome.

Monty, are any of those pullets naked necks? I'm in need of a couple. One of mine had it out with a game hen and lost, so now I need to replace her with two.

Did I get my chicken math correct? Oh yeah, any color but black please. I have enough black turkens.

I think your math is fine but unfortunatly I don't have any extra pullets or hens. The pullets I hatched this year will be part of my breeding flock next year.
If I get any extras (always looking) I will let you know.

Robin - He's doing fine, he transitioned well to being outside. I have lots of shade areas so it's rare that I lose one to the heat.

Captain sounds like a good name for the cochin boy.

Glad he's there taking care of your girls. I was always afraid he'd pick the wrong fight with one of my roosters.

LOL, it isn't Sat so no shower for you! The rain still hasn't made it here yet!

You always have roo's to rehome, I think that is your mark! LOL.

I lost my turkey's last night! Something drug the cage a good ten feet & flipped it until it was able to get inside, all three are gone! I will be setting the trap again tonight before it gets in somewhere else. If all else fails I will be setting up a game camera so I know what I am up against.
