My problem is that when they take the salt out of the canned chicken soup, it tastes like water to me, so I end up adding back an amount of salt that is probably more than what was removed.

I am the same way, especially with the plain chicken broth I use for cooking.

My kind of menu

You may have to find one of the Chinese restaurants that says "no MSG" and hope that they mean it. For some people, MSG causes major headaches.

And BO can be either buff or black Orpington. Of course NN is Naked Neck.

OEGB- Old English Game Bantam

OE or OEG- Old English Game, standard sized.

BBS- Blue, black, splash

LF- Large fowl

That's all I can think of for now.

Ignorance can be "cured" and I learn something new almost everytime I talk to someone about a topic on which I am not totally familiar.

I always thought OEGB meant Old English Game Bird

And I have trouble visualizing a bird that is blue, black AND splash.

I didn't even know that Orpingtons came in black. Do they come in other colors besides buff and black?

You and my DH would be able to eat the same menu. I can't handle "hot" but do like to put garlic salt on almost everything. We really like garlic salt on popcorn, fried okra, and steak (but we don't eat popcorn and steak at the same time

) Anything that is battered and fried gets LOTS of garlic salt, including fish and chicken fried steak.

I think they are also in the Standard With the black, white and the buff but I am not 100% on the white.

It kills me when I see someone calling a bird BBS, pick one, isn't hard to do. Now if you are talking hatching eggs that is different. The chicks from differnt matings could be any of the three but blue x blue should give you 100% blues.

I think blue x blue is bbs splash x splash is 100% splash and I thought splash x blue was 100% blue. Those blue genetics are odd, gotta love them blue birds. I cant sleep and I got to be up in 3 hours for work

Blue X Blue does not give 100% Blues

Actually this is the way their matings go:

Blue X Blue = 50% Blue, 25% Black , 25% Splash
Blue X Splash = 50% Blue , 50% Splash
Blue X Black = 50% Blue, 50% Black
Black X Black = 100% Black
Splash X Black = 100% Blue
Splash X Splash = 100% Splash

Only way to hypothetically get 100% Blue, is to do Black X Splash.

Edited to add:

Self Blue does breed true though.

Most Blues however seem to follow the Andalusian Blue gene rules.
