So what do we do if we are addicted to both? In fact, I am drinking my cup of jo with lots of dark chocolate (don't really like coffee, but I LOVE chocolate)

To everybody else,

Thank you for warm greetings! It is nice to have a good support group for cluckin clutch addictions. I too am already addicted. I have been on BYC for a little while now, but sometimes I get very busy with school and family that I didn't realize until recently, when asking about anybody with certain type of chickens and who might live in OK, that there is a board for OKies.

As for my chicken addiction, I have mostly bantams. My banties are as follows: Mille Fleur D'Uccles, Porcelain D'Uccles, Cochins (white, black, red, silver laced/penciled (not sure yet which one she is, blue, partridge, self-blue, and two other types that I am still trying to figure out what they are as of yet), Frizzled Cochins (white, black, and red), silkies (black, blue, white, buff, and silver), sebrights (4 golden and all seem to be roos, and one silver hen), and maybe a few old english/japanese. As for my large breeds I have Plymouth Barred Rocks, Ameraucanas, and a couple that the feed store threw in there for me because they had too many and were trying to move them before their next shipment was coming in.

Now don't tell my chickens, bcs who knows what kind of hen talkin they will do if they find out,

but I really love the D'Uccles, cochins and silkies for project birds and the Barred Rocks and Amercaunas for their eggs.

I really would like to get some Mille Fleur Cochins and work on the 'Candy Corn' project as some people are calling them.

Wheeew I hope that I answered all the questions. And as you can probably tell I am addicted to chicks, LOL!

Thank you! Yeah a little more, or wait a lot more than my husband would probably like. But he loves me anyway and as long as I am happy he doesn't seem to mind too much. Or maybe he has just learned that after having been together for over 15 years I am going to do what I like and he is just better off supporting me in my decisions.

Morning OKes..how's everyone....

Had to take my weenie dog to the vet....he took on my big dog over a bowl of food, and got the short end of the stick. Took a good lick on the head....and it got infected in a weird way I have never seen.....Something called crepitus? He makes a crackling sound when ya touch him.... so he got a shot and pills...I thought for sure he had a skull fracture...I mean what dog crackles when ya pet it? LOL....

doodle I think you are right about the snarkies...I knew I was opening a bag of shavings....feel right as the mail today!

You were at the Fayetteville show????? Why didn't ya say hello?

That's what I was thinking. We were all congregating in the same corner. Next time, come find us!

I would really like to get into showing. I love the fun of shows. Used to show my Weims and grew up showing horses. I would really like to let my daughter get into the fun that I had as a child. Can anybody tell me when the next show would be that has a junior division? Or is there a list somewhere that tells all the shows for the year here in OK? Thanks for the help!

Kate

OK, or I could bring her to Tinker with me and meet ya'll during my lunchtime next week ... around 7 pm. I could probably find a few NN eggs to give ya'll too ... but remember my roo's are all those funny looking frizzle birds.

Oh, and then in another grow out pen, I have 2 big blue NN roos that are jmhappycowboy roos. One is a dark blue & one is a splash blue, if I remember correctly. Want them too? I'd sure like those to go to a good home too. Unfortunately, I think all of them have bowties.

Carla,
If Les doesn't want one of them let me know. I sent you a PM.

Kate check into your local 4H club, that is a great place to start. As for shows, my daughter is just getting started so I don't know as much as some others on the board, the next shows that I know of are the Cement show (bantams only) and the Shawnee show ( 2 day show). If you do a serch you should be able to find info on both. If not I know some of the other on here can post info for you.

Madison will read the post later but I will say Thank YOU in advace. She is really having fun with it and is already talking of other breeds she wants to do, I think I have created a monster! LOL.
