I am kicking myself today because I passed on some great deals at an auction but getting the stuff loaded and hauled back home would have required more than I can give right now. It was at a foreclosure auction and all the stuff had to be cleared out in two days before they locked the gate to the place.
I passed on some metal sheds and a 24 x 24 shed that had to be assembled. It was in five pieces. It sold for 25 bucks. When I bid $20 i got a sick feeling because I though how am I ever gonna get it home.
Then later I got a sick feeling because I didn't get it. (Can't please some people)

The other metal buildings were still in the box but were covered with a lot of lumber and junk that went with them. Anyway you couldn't see what condition they were in so I passed on buying a pig in a poke.
I did buy ten gas cans for three dollars. I really only wanted one but they sold them all together.
I'll shut up now, chickens are calling.

I had a great camping trip over the weekend. Well, not really camping, we stayed in a cabin north of Broken Bow. My son and grandson and I got to fish the lower Mountain Fork river. I didn't do so well, but I got to witness my grandson's first trout. He dropped it back in the water before we could get a picture, but it was a nice fish anyway. We also got to take the 4-wheelers all over the Quachita National Forrest. All that, combined with some great food made for a pretty nice weekend.

The weather was great too. We had a few showers during the day, and it rained like all get out at night, but mostly, it was sunny and warm. I'm ready to do it again.

Sounds like a nice trip Stimp.
When we tried fishing there last year, there were more Texans than fish. We had to turn them back too.
Did you see that you have a fellow Marine that joined our group?
I want to head back down to my buddy's lease and just ride four wheelers and camp out.

Good after noon!

Just checking in and seeing whats going on...

Stimp, Would have love to have went with you guys... We are originally from Broken Bow. ... Thats where Doc and I first met....

We need to plan a weekend and do just that. Call me when you're ready. Who is the new Marine?

Here is his post about being a marine.
I couldn't find it and I thought for a minute I had dreamed it.

Thank you sir, and you are most welcome. 8 years in the USMC and now 19 years in Law Enforcement. I wanted to go to college but there weren't any parking spaces so I ended up at the Marine recruiters office.
