Here is a link from which this section comes. Run off a copy and take to the offending neighbors. Take good time-coded pics of the dog doing the chasing and start a paper trail with the sheriff's dept.

Hi all - congrats everyone on all the Show entries! Garry, thanks for posting the photos of Grace at work - it was good to see Sherri in one of them, too!

Barns, I would follow Les' advice, but I don't see a problem with your idea - if you're out there early in the morning and they let their dogs out.

Ivy - so sorry your dad is having more troubles!

So Monty, how much did they say Kronk is worth on the Antiques Road Show?

The eaves on my house and garage overhang 24" or more, so yesterday when the guys came to put guttering on the garage they looked at me like I was crazy until they saw the rain barrels, then the light went on for them and they seemed excited about the "systemo reciclar agua." The two downspouts feed directly into the two 275 gallon tanks. The watering system from the outlets of the tanks is still being devised. For now the water will probably be sent to the garden in the back yard, with the master-plan-of-the-day being to plant another garden and some fruit trees down in the "park" behind the garage. The catchment system will supplement the water for that garden so I won't have to string so much hose from the house. According to an online rain barrel calculator , a rainfall of about 1.5 inches should fill both barrels. Let's hope it works!

(Please excuse the junk I'm hiding behind the garage!)

Beth : Great idea and nice set-up, is that open meadow where you plan to sow the new garden plot ??. It does look like the land falls off and that would be good for the gravity feed, instead of having to presurize the tank.

Very nice system Beth. Just a little side note though. When the barrels get full and it's still raining where does the water go?. Without an overflow of some sort, there are commercially made models that hook into the downspouts, the water could back up under the shingles and create problems there.

Well the pickup started acting up after we left town. We decided to stop at the Love's between Clinton and Weatherford. Andrew checked the transmission fluid and it was low. We put some in and decided to chance it until Weatherford. We agreed that if it didn't get any better that we would stop in Weatherford and get some mice and then head back to the house. The increased level of fluid didn't seem to help, but at least it didn't get any worse. We grabbed a few more mice and feed and then headed home. I am currently sitting on the sofa wishing I wasn't. On the way home we got a call from a lady that always buys our babies. She was wanting some more chicks, but agreed to take all the hens and pullets. I guess I didn't need to travel to sell them all after all. I still have the ducks and Ms. Bantam Fluffy Cheeks. The birds are all back in their pens and the lady will be coming to get them tomorrow. She offered to give me some cash and 2 bags of Flock Raiser. I really just wanted to get rid of the birds. It evens out to a little over $8.00 a bird. I guess that is a pretty good deal.

Maribeth, she has agreed to take the BSL. I don't know when I would be able to get them to you, so I agreed. I hope this doesn't offend you. If you still want them and are able to come and get them, I will hold them for you. I realize that it is quite a distance to travel. I also set the poor spiders loose. They had been caged in a small habitat for a few days and were getting antsy. If you are coming out, I can get more any time. Andrew sees several every day on his way to work and home.
