6 is a great hatch!

It is considering we started with 11 and first time using incubator. I just have a feeling something was wrong/off with the darks parentage. That's okay though, things happen.

Now we've been talking of keeping a buff roo and breeding out brahmas and Brahma/EE/oe crosses 12 at a time and butchering for us and family. We shall see.

One week old! Gotta clean them out so I'll get more photos soon!

Those Google photos you find on wing feather sexing day old chicks-- well, we did have 3 and 3, and the curving of the wings photo: still have 3 and 3... We shall see! Lol (this is just for fun, I have used the wing day old for each of our batches and even our mixes it held true, it could just be my luck, so I'm not jinxing it lol)

Two weeks old!

Three weeks. Hurt my hand so not able to take photos and hold them but here are group shots. And yup looking like we've got three of each

Some more outside time. Our temps are dropping here (unusual for us at this time, or at least last couple years, it fluctuates lol)

Still have inside set up for them and by the looks of it it'll be a bit before they are outside fulltime.

With them being from a local breeder they are definitely growing slower than our ones from TSC/Hoovers.

4 weeks old. We got another brooder plate for outside when we moved them to give them heat IF they need it as they aren't fully feathered and our temps are steadily dropping. Their area is secure and safe. We're starting to winterize our porch and then the coop later on.

5 weeks old! More pics to come soon but moved them outside! It's not completely set up yet lol but we took a half day and moved em out early
