I would gladly take him to a vet, but the only exotic vet is almost three hours away(my animal shelter doesn’t accept birds because they’re “exotic”) and I cannot make it there on time. Could I possibly find vitamins at the pet store?Sorry, my dad said it sounds like it has a bit of a cold, or one side of its nose is clogged up. Vitamins won't hurt. He also said if its really sick, they lose feathers and what feathers remain get puffed up. He said it looks healthy other than the noise. A vet isn't a bad idea though
I just checked his nostrils better and he has some sort of dry yellow substance around itSorry, my dad said it sounds like it has a bit of a cold, or one side of its nose is clogged up. Vitamins can’t hurt, and they could do him some good. Try to keep him from stress and the hustle and bustle of the house. I hope it’s just a little cold and he gets better soon!I would gladly take him to a vet, but the only exotic vet is almost three hours away(my animal shelter doesn’t accept birds because they’re “exotic”) and I cannot make it there on time. What bedding are you using in his cage? It's possible the bedding might be making him breathe like that, esp when you said he breathes fine when he is perching on your finger.Link it to here
It is quite a tall cage, underneath the floor is some newspaper. However the other bird I have is breathing perfectly fineWhat bedding are you using in his cage? It's possible the bedding might be making him breathe like that, esp when you said he breathes fine when he is perching on your finger.
