Peacock

Somebody on this site a couple of weeks ago had a male peacock just show up at his house. None of his neighbors have any so he has no idea where it came from. It stays with his flock now and he feeds it and is caring for it. I would check with any neighbors that have any outside animals where there might be feed. One on my bus route used to visit the horse across the road from where it lived and eat its food every day. I hope you find yours. It's terrible to lose a pet. Welcome to this wonderful informative forum.

All of my neighbors know I’m the only one who has a peacock, so I’m sure they would let me know if he roamed. 7 AM this morning when I left the house he was there. I haven’t had any phone calls or text messages stating that he’s in their yard so I am praying He’s in a tree and I just can’t see him and he’s laughing at me. 😅 wishful thinking anyways…

I have someone who has a pair right now but they are 2hr away. & babies. I don’t really like that stage tbh.
I would like that stage better myself thinking they would have a better chance of bonding with you being so young. I don't know if people do something to them to keep them from flying away??? I have to clip my ducks wings until they get to know me well enough and the rest of the flock that I don't have to worry about them leaving. Someone tried to give me a pair of white ones a while back but I have ducks and close neighbors and they are loud and need lots of space is what I read up on them. I pray that yours returns soon.

I like raising my own babies BUT it’s time consuming & can be a lot of work at times. I work a full time job & just don’t really have the patience to mess with the babies right now. But I might consider it.

I was just reading about peacocks and it said to keep them from flying away you should give them a safe place to be, shower them with love and care and that you can clip one wing just as I do my ducks to keep them from flying off. If he returns you could possibly try that. l
