Pecker the Rooster's comb has turned purple

Normally it's pink. He's not acting ill. The weather has not been extremely hot during the day. But it has been cooler in the evenings than usual.

Pecker is about 1 year old. I raised him by hand. After 2 near-death experiences when he was just a little Pecker

I wrapped him in a warm towel and he slept on my chest. He thinks he's a dog.

If you have any ideas why his comb has gone purple, please advise. I don't know anything about roosters, except they crow. A LOT!!

well I cant help you but we have a hen named pecker she pecks the window all the time wanting to come in or have treats thrown out. Guess we both have peckers

My guess is sunburn or he is near death
