View attachment 3462807Yesterday I left 5 fake eggs in one nestbox. It seems to work, because tonight Pearl (or Black) was sitting on the eggs. Growling at me when I disturbed her.
It was too dark to see who it was. Pearl and Black are two lookalike black Dutch.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to take many good photos this year. These are the ones I like the most.

The right one decided that it was time to run away

I really like this chick, the dark beak, the look and the grey back. (S)he also is the friendliest one. Seems to be a black columbian so far, which is great, since I have too many blue hens and roosters

On Thursday I have two appointments to pick up eggs. 6 bantam Vorwerk and 6 Dutch with different colours.

I picked up 11 eggs for my 2 broodies this evening.
3 bantam Sussex red porcelain
3 bantam Vorwerk
5 Dutch in different colours (silver, yellow, pyle, koekoek, blue)
