Yo, I keep thinking doing a sport with Jäger would be a lot of fun. What sorts of things are common for Shepherds and/or Goldens, and how would I get into training him that?

Agility, obedience or rally, nose work/scentwork, etc. You could look for classes or clubs near you and see if they offer any for those sports.

I keep thinking Agility would be fun once he's old enough, but I think he's going to be quite huge and it may not be the best overall. That's the one I've seen the most of. I'm thinking maybe obedience? He is very smart and picks things up well.

That’s okay if he’s not the best. It’s more about having fun LOL And obedience would be great too!

I see dogs bigger than Shepherds doing agility.
There is a lot of sports,
Fast cat, dock diving, agility, barn hunt, obedience, rally, scent work, flyball, lure coursing, disc and many more.

Look for local dog clubs you can UKC/AKC register him through either the AKC mixed breed program. UKC has a way to register to(im going to register through UKC, just since i wont be neutering Tucker unless medically needed)
