The more defined, clear, solid V is supposed to be Female, and the fuzzy unclear (LOL) are the males

thats what i was told the deal was, and some breeders told me its still hit or miss. But the one i hatched was solid V and it is a girl........ so thats not enough to carve the formula in stone, but its fun to see how it goes

I *believe* the eyeliner is also supposed to be an indication. But I may be wrong. If I have read right females will have eyeliner, males will not.

Cool. clear V and eyeliner.

As much as I used the V's and eyeliners, in my case, it is unreliable. For some certain breeder lines, some could go high as 90 to 100 percent accuracity.

Many Welsummer chicks I've had, my guesses on between girls and boys are somewhere between 30-40 percent correct.
