Piecing Quilt...my Iron QUIT! ( Top Complete! New Pic post 56!)

OK, a new day ..... How's it going?

I'll get it right. I'm on the last strip between borders then I'll be putting them all together. Meanwhile, we're doing some long overdue cleanup around the house and watching out for the birds overheating, etc. And gosh, I'm hungry!

Thanks, but all I did was sew the pieces together. I'm not used to making an entire quilt with one block over and over. I usually start out with a central block and add borders, pieced and plain, from there. I never really know what any quilt will look like in the end when I do that, LOL. It does look spiffy sitting on my bed, though. Can't wait to see it with the borders!

Kathy, a huge THANK YOU (and Holly) for my Barbara t-shirt! I love it!

You really shouldn't have, but that was so sweet! I called your cell # but you were probably at work. You know how much I love my BRs and my little Barbara is coming along beautifully. She's almost ready to lay, too. The birds did fine today, I think. Holly's grandmother isn't doing well, though. I think her abdomen is more full than it was the other day before we drained off all that fluid.

Well, here she is, you slave drivers (and I mean it in the nicest way possible, of course). I will start on the three borders tomorrow. I got out the first material, then collapsed and turned off my iron. It's not perfect, I fudged in a more than a few places, but I think overall, the effect is very nice. I kept trying to fix little issues, but fabric will only take so much re-do, ya know?

Last borders tomorrow, I can hardly wait! That really is a nice size. I think this kind of quilt kit is suppose to take all winter to do, yet you have it done in a week! I do not know how you get so much done!

All winter? Seriously? I can't do one project that long. And of course, it's not quilted. I like piecing better than the actual quilting part, but eventually, I do have to put things together. Sort of like you and all your cut-out quilts awaiting piecing.
