Oooo absolutely! They’re already getting more comfortable with me. I think it’s only a matter of time before they’ll be riding on my shoulder. XD

King Louis has been doing less circles! I wonder if it’s a nerve issue that was enhanced by stress. While researching, I saw sometimes their nervous system can get damaged after getting sick, and some of the symptoms (such as the circles) can show up again months after they heal. His stance is still pretty extreme, but he’s been better about not standing in a break-neck pose.

I’m so glad King Louis is doing better!! That definitely makes sense that it could’ve been a past injury/disease.

You may want to try hand feeding safflower seeds to gain their trust. Neet Neet (who is a menace) will take safflower seeds from my hand without courting or attacking it, which is pretty impressive.

Helped two pigeons with stringfoot and got this one with a messed up eye. I don’t think it was something he was born with, so he probably wouldn’t have survived for long in the wild.

Bert has been able to get up on the perch by herself. I had to help her up and sometimes down for the first few days, but determination to get to Louis made her persistent. XD
I never saw her get up, so I thought she flew, but no??? She climbs??? Up the wire and then kicks onto the perch??? And she’s not stuck. She keeps going up there, even after I “unstick” her. She has a lower perch she’s perfectly capable of going on, but I think she’s jealous of Louis, lol.

I love these funky little weirdos so much.

Also, I got to hold King Louis. : DDDD
I grabbed him after he left the shelf, and he just let me squish him and preen his tail. : DDD he almost fell asleep in my hand. <3
