Pigeon Talk

It looks great! :thumbsup The only thing that might be worth changing is using hardware cloth on the doors instead of chicken wire. It will be alot more secure.
That seems to be the general consensus. I didn't have any handy but I might grab some this weekend and change it out. We don't have much in the way of critters. The cats keep the rodents away and the coyotes keep the coons and opossums away.

I want to train one of my whites to do that. It's so cool!

@slorider18 beautiful loft and birds! Agreed with above though. I had a coon try to get in a few night ago. It broke a couple loops on the hardware. Thankfully it didn't get in! How many birds do you have? 4?
Yep, 4 total right now. Hoping to get one or two rounds out of each and I'll work with those this year.

I got the new loft done (need to make a base still). I had to pirate hinges from my old loft so I had to move the birds before the new base is done. I'm going to demo the old loft this weekend, get the new base built and place the new loft where the old loft was. Moved the birds in yesterday and they seem to be happy. There are more perches so everyone seems happy. Going to get started on breeding boxes this weekend.

Another consideration- those doors look wide when you open it up, which is super, but is there much chance of the flying off when you open the doors?
Maybe after the separator is in, if you have a trap door between, you can shoo them to one side while you clean out the other, and vice versa.

This guy has the best pigeon EVER!

That is fabulous!
