I never realised how large the king pigeons are :eek:I just wanted to pick one up and give it a cuddle! They look like giant Teddy bear pigeons!

Thanks for sharing those @CCUK !
Racing homers are not known for color so even the addition of a new little red check is cause for celebration in my flock.:D Fingers crossed for a hen. She is Doba's granddaughter. Dad is ash red split for blue and the odds played out in the nest with one red and one blue.:ya

Edit  excuse the background poop, took pic first thing this am. Birds this age are awesome poopers! I swear the nest box gets scraped and fresh shavings daily.:lau
Second edit. Some may notice I missed the banding window on these guys, I'll just have to use clip-ons.

They are little beauties! I love the red. Ash's were the same with one red bar and one blue bar. The blue bar does have a red tinge on his breast though. Were these whoops babies?

Nope, they were allowed. I had sent 8 birds to a new loft keeper so I wanted to try for another T check like mom. My ash red cock won her over after we lost Leo(hit by car:hit), her prev mate. I also let Doo try again and he and his mate hatched one. This is one very big well fed baby! I seriously considered transferring one of the nestmates over to Doo as he is excellent at feeding and tending his babies.

Went to newark show today. It was fantastic. There was so many different breeds. To actually see them is so much better than just seeing pictures. I got my Archangels today! They were quite well attended at the show and there was some 15 on show.

They are both this years. The male is just coming out of moult so looks a bit rough on his neck. They are both in the old racer loft now settling in. The person I got these from will see if she has any more available. I'd like another unrelated pair.

I’m so jelly!! :love
