I'd go with the blue. But that would depend on how many males you have or what your looking for. If it's 50/50 there's a better chance it's a female than 100% it's male! But if your looking for an almond than the almond is obviously the one to go for but you would need to source a female later. I'd still go for the blue.I need help deciding which bird I should go with for my third, lol.

I have not liked calling mine squabs, a word I associate with a menu item in a fancy restaurant! lol I call mine squeakers as soon as they squeak! My loft, my call.
I have the same dilemma w/Doba. I don't think it's a great life for a flyer, but can't bring myself to cull. I have had her in the loft under supervision twice for a few hours but she remains vulnerable to injury from the cockbirds.
Well it's a moot point now, lol. She doesn't want to sell me only one more, she wanted to sell both together, and since I don't want to do the shipping, that's that.
