Another consideration- those doors look wide when you open it up, which is super, but is there much chance of the flying off when you open the doors?
Maybe after the separator is in, if you have a trap door between, you can shoo them to one side while you clean out the other, and vice versa.

so far, even with both doors open no one seems to care. I usually open one side at a time and they just walk to the other side. We did have one get out a few weeks ago but it came back. (homers) go figure. lol. We let that one out again and another got out with it. they both came back though so if they leave I'm ok with it.

I actually didn’t get to watch, I’m hatching ducklings at the moment and had to tend to some assists.

Yes! I lost my fav doing that. So now I lock them in a pen attached to coop. They will soon try to escape!

Yeah boomer has a special place in my heart! Squeak is from mama1 and papa1. The first pairs I got. She was the first hatch I had. Sadly mama1 did a flit and didn't return from a loft flight. Squeak is now paired up with papa1, her pops! I don't really like it, not quite right but nowt I can do about it!

It's really ok.
