This sounds like a budgie, because these are NOT things canaries will do!
They are very hands-off birds almost all the time and they cannot talk. But budgies can, and they come in canary yellow.

I’ve been wondering if my budgies are not mating because I have them in my living room and they are exposed to light for too long each day. Does that apply to them?
You have some beautiful canaries. Is it true you can change the colour of them by adding colourants to the water?
No, budgies are tropical birds, and their breeding season is determined entirely by food availability, not day length. They molt a little all through the year and not all at once too. It's possible they may not like each other enough to breed. They may also not feel there is enough nutritious food to raise babies. They need more than seed to breed - fresh greens, broccoli, sweetcorn, hard boiled eggs and other moist, fresh foods are important to get them into condition. A few years ago I was given an old female budgie who had outlived two males and never bred. She mated for me in just a couple months once she started getting a more varied diet and had four babies!
They also breed best in pairs, so if you have three together one may be cramping the others' privacy. They may also fight over nest boxes and females can kill one another's chicks!
It could even be your birds are all one sex. Do you definitively know their sexes?
I look at yours and think, hmm I could do that with my barn..Here’s mine. Remember it was for chickens first.
The 2 sections were 8x8x8, so taking the fence in the center down, they now have 8x16’. I saw one fly the full length yesterday.

She's a good mamma! Cute littles too! They're doing fine! I'm hoping the weather will hold out this weekend so I can put a run up in the garden for them. Speckle has grown an extra head! View attachment 1708381 View attachment 1708382 View attachment 1708383
Hey, I know they're not pigeons but I would like to share some of my canaries who are starting the first nest of the year. Canaries only breed in spring and are remarkably timely; the female put together the nest in one day today - the first official day of spring! This is a newly paired couple but I am hoping they do well. The male is the dark one and his name is Mozart. His mate is Lyric. They've been mating for a week and now that she's nested the first egg should be here in a few days! View attachment 1708595 View attachment 1708596 View attachment 1708597
Beautiful birds Serin! These are my other two... Milo and Blaze. Blaze has a lot of feathers to regrow and looks rather frumpy. Got beat up by others in crowded conditions and has no tail but is doing well with me now.
